Spectators: 7524 (Terracing: 5644, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Pierre Hurst got the match started through his kick off. Andy Slater showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pierre Hurst in the 3rd minute of the match. If Alastair Wallbank had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jay Soussan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leroy Southgate made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jay Soussan in the 11th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alastair Wallbank in the 13th minute of play forced wells's goalkeeper Leroy Southgate to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 13 played minutes wells got a freekick which was hit by Seth Warrender. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Harvey Wooding during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 16th minute, Harvey Wooding hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18thth minute of the game Pierre Hurst who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gillingham Town FC's Andy Slater was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alastair Wallbank fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leroy Southgate having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Jay Soussan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leroy Southgate was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Glenn Merchant's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 27thth minute, Andy Slater skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 28 minutes into the match, Pierre Hurst had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Andy Slater. Gillingham Town FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pierre Hurst was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. If Jay Soussan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute Jay Soussan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leroy Southgate saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leroy Southgate made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jay Soussan in the 43rd minute of play. Andy Slater made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Glenn Merchant sent off a good shot on target. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jay Soussan was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Kelvin Hammett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leroy Southgate was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jay Soussan showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 55 minute of play. Alastair Wallbank took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leroy Southgate. Leroy Southgate dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. The supporters of wells booed when Gillingham Town FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leo Hartley didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute, Jay Soussan fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Andy Slater came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by wells's Glenn Merchant. But to his dismay, Glenn Merchant quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. When Pierre Hurst came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the wells fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pierre Hurst couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Jay Soussan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gillingham Town FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jay Soussan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leroy Southgate breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alastair Wallbank could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Leroy Southgate made a huge save. After 79 minutes of play, wells's Pierre Hurst made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Andy Slater was left in no man's land by his defense there! Vic Carsley in the 87thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Leroy Southgate, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a defensive mix-up in wells's zone, Alastair Wallbank stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leroy Southgate came out of the goal and Alastair Wallbank tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leroy Southgate made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jay Soussan in the 90th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kelvin Hammett during the 91st minute. In the 92nd minute Jay Soussan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leroy Southgate saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alastair Wallbank sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leroy Southgate took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jay Soussan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
