Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) liam fc's Austin Colbert started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, liam fc's goalkeeper Ralf Stayton had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Harvey Foley. After 11 played minutes liam fc got a freekick which was hit by Zaq Fowler. In the 12th minute of the match Piers Llewellyn shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ralf Stayton showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ralf Stayton was a little too slow when Cody Duckworth got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 14th minute. The score was now 1-1. When Austin Colbert came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the liam fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Austin Colbert couldn't finish the play. If Austin Colbert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. liam fc's Ralf Stayton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save liam fc from getting a goal against them. Zack Whitehead's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ralf Stayton firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 31 minutes, Garry Stevens mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the liam fc and the Birches Head Potters players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, liam fc's Garry Stevens got a free kick in the 31st minute. A hard shot by Robert Elliot from long distance, 33 minutes into the match, got Ralf Stayton's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Zaq Fowler kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. When Garry Stevens was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 35 minutes had been played. In the 37th minute of the game, Birches Head Potters got a penalty. The shot went straight in by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zack Whitehead got free with Ralf Stayton in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ralf Stayton made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Zack Whitehead sent off a good shot on target.

The wind increased when Cody Duckworth made the kick off in the second half. When Zaq Fowler fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored liam fc's protests and gave Zaq Fowler a yellow card for diving instead. After 58 played minutes liam fc got a freekick which was hit by Zaq Fowler. After some careless play in the liam fc defense, Cody Duckworth kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ralf Stayton. The liam fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ralf Stayton should have stopped the shot. 62 minutes into the game, Harvey Foley was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Birches Head Potters's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave liam fc the free kick. After having played for 65 minutes, Zaq Fowler managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. liam fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zaq Fowler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ralf Stayton stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cody Duckworth's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. After a defensive mix-up in liam fc's zone, Cody Duckworth stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ralf Stayton came out of the goal and Cody Duckworth tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Robert Elliot during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of liam fc booed when Birches Head Potters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robert Elliot didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ralf Stayton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cody Duckworth in the 83rd minute of play. Nathan Locke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johnnie Midson in the 85th minute of the match. Ralf Stayton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harvey Foley in the 87th minute of play. Piers Llewellyn might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ralf Stayton. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Piers Llewellyn ran back to his position shaking his head. Ralf Stayton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zack Whitehead, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Birches Head Potters fully deserved thier win.
