After a defensive mix-up in Kanarki FC's zone, Eddy Birch stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Len Wiseman came out of the goal and Eddy Birch tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eddy Birch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sean Gaskell in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Len Wiseman saved Kanarki FC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sean Gaskell in the 34th minute of play forced Kanarki FC's goalkeeper Len Wiseman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Sean Gaskell came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Denholme City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sean Gaskell couldn't finish the play. Len Wiseman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eddy Birch, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Eddy Birch scored 0-1 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Len Wiseman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brian Pamplin during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Denholme City booed when Kanarki FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brian Pamplin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Len Wiseman was left in no man's land by his defense there! Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ben Turner was the one to do the kick off. Eddy Birch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Len Wiseman having to interfere. Niall Darby took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chaz Westwood, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Kanarki FC booed when Denholme City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joseph Goodman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute of the match Kurt Peake sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Niall Darby skillfully saved the ball. After 63 minutes, Kurt Peake mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kanarki FC and the Denholme City players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Denholme City booed when Kanarki FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kurt Peake didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute, Sean Gaskell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Len Wiseman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sean Gaskell in the 72nd minute of the match. Sean Gaskell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Len Wiseman having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sean Gaskell in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Len Wiseman saved Kanarki FC from getting behind. Eddy Birch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sean Gaskell had several of the Kanarki FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 87 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-4 score and a disappointed Len Wiseman as he didn't even see the shot coming. Eddy Birch could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Len Wiseman made a huge save. Denholme City's Sean Gaskell got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
