Matt Turner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dennis Preston having to interfere. In the 12th match minute, Easingwold FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Keiran Backhouse to maneuver through the defense. 15 minutes into the game, Matt Turner cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Dennis Preston was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Darius Strongman was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and CJ Pollard capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. CJ Pollard really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. When Joseph Elliot came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Easingwold FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joseph Elliot couldn't finish the play. Jeffrey Dumpleton charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jeffrey Dumpleton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Skelmersdale City's Jeffrey Dumpleton got a free kick in the 26th minute. Keiran Backhouse kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Dennis Preston showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matt Turner in the 37th minute of the match. Joseph Elliot could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Darius Strongman made a huge save. Joseph Elliot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Darius Strongman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute CJ Pollard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darius Strongman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Darius Strongman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from CJ Pollard, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute.

The audience was convinced that CJ Pollard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Darius Strongman was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Darius Strongman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of CJ Pollard's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. In the 58th minute, CJ Pollard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 61st minute, CJ Pollard ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Darius Strongman was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. CJ Pollard's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Darius Strongman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Skelmersdale City's Darius Strongman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joseph Elliot in the 71st minute of play. Darius Strongman didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Easingwold FC's CJ Pollard shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-1 in the ordered_time% minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, CJ Pollard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Easingwold FC's supporters rose to their feet, but CJ Pollard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Darius Strongman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dennis Preston showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teddy Bowden, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. 84 minutes into the game, Jo Knightley was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Teddy Bowden managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skelmersdale City's supporters rose to their feet, but Teddy Bowden was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dennis Preston breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Skelmersdale City getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Mitch Hilton hit a great ball. Gavin Kerfoot shot from long distance after 97 played minutes, a shot that Darius Strongman with certain difficulty stopped from going in under the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Skelmersdale City players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Easingwold FC.
