Jack Silvester made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nick Miller in the 6th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Hammers Southend's Robert Calder got a free kick in the 7th minute. Taunton's Adam Turner got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tyler Rusk hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Dylan Oatway kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Jack Silvester showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adam Turner in the 13th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Keiran Stamp during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Taunton getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Keiran Stamp hit a great ball. Jack Silvester made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Turner in the 19th minute of play. In the 24th match minute, Hammers Southend was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Calder to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute Nick Miller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jack Silvester saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Taunton's goalkeeper Kristian Carter had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fitz Coote. Jack Silvester showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nick Miller in the 33rd minute of the match. Nick Miller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 39th minute, Nick Miller made a precise shot to the right of Jack Silvester. Hammers Southend's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lenny Walmsley stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Hammers Southend's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremy Hutchings came free, but Jack Silvester reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hammers Southend's Adam Pye-Finch suffered a concussion after 54 minutes and had to leave the field. Rory Higginson kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Jack Silvester made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Adam Turner sent off a good shot on target. Nick Miller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fitz Coote's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kristian Carter read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Hammers Southend's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alan Darnbrooke in the 66th minute. After taking down the ball on Hammers Southend's corner Alan Darnbrooke fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Kristian Carter quite easily take care of the ball. Matty Booker took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jack Silvester. Jack Silvester dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. If Adam Turner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Jack Silvester managed to avoid a goal in the 75thth minute, when Taunton's Adam Turner fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Nick Miller came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Taunton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nick Miller couldn't finish the play. Jeremy Hutchings charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jeremy Hutchings the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Quentin Perryman's late challenge caught a Taunton's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Quentin Perryman helped the player get up and apologised. Quentin Perryman hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. If Adam Turner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 83 minutes into the match, Nick Miller dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jack Silvester, 0-3. Hammers Southend's Jack Silvester played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nick Miller in the 91st minute of play. When Fitz Coote came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Hammers Southend fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fitz Coote couldn't finish the play. Fitz Coote blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kristian Carter having to make a save. Taunton's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
