Spectators: 7569 (Terracing: 5678, Seating: 1740, VIP seats: 151) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Nial Afful made the kick off which started today's match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nial Afful in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zachariasz Brodzki prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After recieving a nice pass, Paignton City's Glyn Locke tried to score from far away in the 15th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Kingswear's Tim Ford played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conal Whitworth in the 17th minute of play. In the 23rd minute Phil Jackson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zachariasz Brodzki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes in the game, Conal Whitworth fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Tim Ford having to interfere. If Sol Stevens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Tim Ford managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when Paignton City's Sol Stevens fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 32nd minute, Alfie Avery hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th minute, Nial Afful left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kingswear fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Grant Cookson during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Grant Cookson hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Alfie Avery, 41 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Paignton City's Sol Stevens got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tim Ford didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sol Stevens went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Conal Whitworth made a kick off. The supporters of Paignton City booed when Kingswear was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johnny Dunning didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 54th play minutes Conal Whitworth shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Tim Ford and just under the crossbar into goal. Phil Jackson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Zachariasz Brodzki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Johnny Dunning hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Sol Stevens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tim Ford having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Conal Whitworth in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tim Ford saved Kingswear from getting behind. Phil Jackson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zachariasz Brodzki having to interfere. Kingswear's Martyn Parkinson suffered a concussion in the 77th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Paignton City's Grant Cookson got his second yellow card of the match in the 77th minute. The referee ordered Grant Cookson off the ground. Grant Cookson hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Phil Jackson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 87th minute, Sol Stevens made a precise shot to the right of Tim Ford. Kingswear's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Conal Whitworth hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. 95 minutes into the match, Kingswear's goal looked a bit too open when Sol Stevens came free, but Tim Ford reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Paignton City fans cheered their team off the field, for while Kingswear had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
