Gwyn North started the match with the kick off. Pierce Stone's late challenge caught a oldham united's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pierce Stone helped the player get up and apologised. After 3 played minutes Tenbury Wells AFC got a freekick which was hit by Pierce Stone. Scott Sutton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Loyd Knight-Percival, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 9 played minutes Tenbury Wells AFC got a freekick which was hit by Tony Winterbine. If Loyd Knight-Percival had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Tenbury Wells AFC's Barney Rushmere got control of the ball when Gwyn Davis tried to sneak it across the goal line. oldham united's Gwyn Davis got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 21 minutes into the game, Duncan England was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. oldham united's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tenbury Wells AFC the free kick. After 21 played minutes oldham united got a freekick which was hit by Duncan England. After having played for 23 minutes, Loyd Knight-Percival managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tenbury Wells AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Loyd Knight-Percival was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Scott Sutton didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Danny Boulding went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of oldham united booed when Tenbury Wells AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tony Winterbine didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gwyn Davis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 31st minute by Gwyn Davis got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Richard Wootton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gwyn Davis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barney Rushmere having to interfere. Richard Wootton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gwyn Davis's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 39thth minute, Barney Rushmere skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 43 minutes into the game, Duncan England cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Barney Rushmere was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The wind increased when Danny Boulding made the kick off in the second half. Scott Sutton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Loyd Knight-Percival in the 68th minute. 78 minutes in the game, Loyd Knight-Percival fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Scott Sutton having to interfere. If Richard Wootton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to oldham united getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Richard Wootton hit a great ball. After 84 played minutes, Tenbury Wells AFC's Tony Winterbine shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Scott Sutton came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tenbury Wells AFC reached it. The supporters of Tenbury Wells AFC booed when oldham united was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henry Halloran didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tony Winterbine took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 87th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Scott Sutton. oldham united's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gwyn Davis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute, Gwyn Davis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Grant Senior recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. oldham united's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
