Spectators: 6729 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1729, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nial Afful started the match with the kick off. Tim Ford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johnathon Bramble in the 4th minute of play. In the 16th match minute, Kingswear was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Justin Alderson to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Kingswear getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Norman Green hit a great ball. Mitch Weedon hit a great ball. Phil Jackson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Henry Nethercoat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nial Afful in the 24th minute of the match. In the 31st minute there was a penalty for Kingswear. Alfie Avery stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Henry Nethercoat. 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Knottingley's zone, Phil Jackson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henry Nethercoat came out of the goal and Phil Jackson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nial Afful received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Henry Nethercoat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Phil Jackson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frank Holbrook made a kick off. Knottingley's Henry Nethercoat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nial Afful in the 55th minute of play. The supporters of Kingswear booed when Knottingley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carl Meade didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Knottingley's Henry Nethercoat got control of the ball when Phil Jackson tried to sneak it across the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Phil Jackson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Henry Nethercoat, 0-2. After 60 played minutes Kingswear got a freekick which was hit by Fred Walmsley. In the 62nd minute of the match Oscar Fitzgerald shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tim Ford showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Frank Holbrook recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nial Afful fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henry Nethercoat having to interfere. Henry Nethercoat made an important save on a dangerous shot by Phil Jackson in the 67th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sam Lowe during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sam Lowe hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. 70 minutes into the match, Kingswear's Alfie Avery broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Henry Nethercoat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nial Afful in the 72nd minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Knottingley's goal looked a bit too open when Nial Afful came free, but Henry Nethercoat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tim Ford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Holbrook in the 82nd minute of play. Knottingley's Henry Nethercoat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nial Afful in the 85th minute of play. If Nial Afful had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Henry Nethercoat was out of position in the 90 minute of play, and Nial Afful capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nial Afful really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Phil Jackson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Knottingley fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Kingswear were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
