If Vance Dove had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kristopher Bedford hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Freddie Driver took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alec Scargill, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lance Ridsdale hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Bobby Rogers could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Freddie Driver made a huge save. After some careless play in the KS Sheffield defense, Jamie Beck kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sol Mayo. The KS Sheffield fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sol Mayo should have stopped the shot. If Nathanial Deaconsfield had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jamie Beck struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Sol Mayo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oakalnds. In the 30th minute, Alec Scargill ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Freddie Driver was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Bobby Rogers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Freddie Driver tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 86 minutes of play, KS Sheffield's Kristopher Bedford made it 5-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Freddie Driver was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 90th minute Bobby Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddie Driver saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Freddie Driver showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kristopher Bedford, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. In the 96th minute Alec Scargill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddie Driver saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The KS Sheffield fans cheered their team off the field, for while Oakalnds had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
