The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4 minutes, Rio Davies mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cromer and the ◄19A10► R-W-R Warriors ® players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 4 played minutes Cromer got a freekick which was hit by Rio Davies. Dale Atkins's late challenge caught a ◄19A10► R-W-R Warriors ®'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dale Atkins helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Cromer's Dale Atkins got a free kick in the 7th minute. Richard Green fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matthew Halliday having to interfere. When Dale Atkins was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 11 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Cromer's Dale Atkins got a free kick in the 11th minute. Matthew Halliday was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Giles Lobb. With his leg Matthew Halliday managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when ◄19A10► R-W-R Warriors ®'s Jay Parkinson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Seb Aspinall hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cromer's goalkeeper Matthew Halliday, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nicky Portway sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Cromer defense, Jay Parkinson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Matthew Halliday. The Cromer fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matthew Halliday should have stopped the shot. Jay Parkinson might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Matthew Halliday. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jay Parkinson ran back to his position shaking his head. ◄19A10► R-W-R Warriors ®'s Richard Green got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 73rd minute Jay Parkinson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matthew Halliday saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of ◄19A10► R-W-R Warriors ® booed when Cromer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paul Gilchrist didn't get a good kick on the ball. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Matthew Halliday showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Matthew Halliday stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jay Parkinson's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Matthew Halliday made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jay Parkinson in the 82nd minute of play. In the 82ndth minute of the game Jay Parkinson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cromer's Matthew Halliday was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jay Parkinson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Matthew Halliday tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Guy Whittingham made a precise shot to the right of Matthew Halliday. Cromer's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cromer players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
