Jonny Jones was out of position in the 7 minute of play, and Francis Price capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Francis Price really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Forest Club's Leroy Dibb played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Keith Rusby in the 11th minute of play. Penzance FC's Jonny Jones played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francis Price in the 14th minute of play. Greg Barfield sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Penzance FC's Keith Rusby got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Franz Hicks kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Edward Warne struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Leroy Dibb didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Penzance FC. Keith Rusby sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Keith Rusby in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leroy Dibb saved Forest Club from getting behind. In the 43rd minute Keith Rusby shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leroy Dibb saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonny Jones stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francis Price's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. In the 47th match minute, Penzance FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edward Warne to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Keith Rusby to make the kick off. Franz Hicks hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Greg Barfield fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leroy Dibb having to interfere. Greg Barfield might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leroy Dibb. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Greg Barfield ran back to his position shaking his head. Keith Rusby struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Leroy Dibb didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Penzance FC. When John-Paul Dickner fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Forest Club's protests and gave John-Paul Dickner a yellow card for diving instead. In the 66th minute, John-Paul Dickner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Penzance FC's Rory Boxall got a free kick in the 69th minute. Forest Club's Vance Sheridan couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 70th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Penzance FC. Keith Rusby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leroy Dibb having to interfere. In the 78th minute Keith Rusby shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leroy Dibb saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Greg Barfield managed to get in a good position for a shot. Penzance FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Greg Barfield was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leroy Dibb breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leroy Dibb made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Greg Barfield sent off a good shot on target. Leroy Dibb took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Keith Rusby, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sebastian Moore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonny Jones having to interfere. Rupert Salt hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Penzance FC's Rory Boxall tried to score from far away in the 96th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The Forest Club support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
