Spectators: 7520 (Terracing: 5641, Seating: 1729, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Doug Leather started the match with the kick off. Rodd Rawlings had great luck who in the 8thth minute grab hold of the ball when Doug Leather from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Bhatti Slappers F.C's Guy Barnfield played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Todd Gardner in the 9th minute of play. When Keiran Osbon fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ossett United's protests and gave Keiran Osbon a yellow card for diving instead. After 13 played minutes Ossett United got a freekick which was hit by Keiran Osbon. When Bhatti Slappers F.C's Doug Leather in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ossett United's goalie prevented a goal. Anthony Clayton hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 27thth minute of the game Doug Leather who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ossett United's Rodd Rawlings was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 30th minute, Todd Gardner left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ossett United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. With a little luck, Ossett United's Rodd Rawlings got control of the ball when Oscar Evans tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rodd Rawlings had great luck who in the 38thth minute grab hold of the ball when Doug Leather from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. 45 minutes into the match, Ossett United's goal looked a bit too open when Doug Leather came free, but Rodd Rawlings reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodd Rawlings showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Doug Leather, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zak Tate made a kick off. Rodd Rawlings made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doug Leather in the 52nd minute of play. Guy Barnfield showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexander Butler, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 61st minute, Ossett United's Todd Gardner dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Todd Gardner's late challenge caught a Bhatti Slappers F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Todd Gardner helped the player get up and apologised. In the 65th minute, Todd Gardner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Doug Leather recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Ivor Bell came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Bhatti Slappers F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivor Bell couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Bhatti Slappers F.C getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Anthony Clayton hit a great ball. When Todd Gardner came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Ossett United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Todd Gardner couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zak Tate in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guy Barnfield prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doug Leather in the 74th minute of play forced Ossett United's goalkeeper Rodd Rawlings to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guy Barnfield made an important save on a dangerous shot by Peter Young in the 77th minute. Ossett United's Rodd Rawlings played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Evans in the 78th minute of play. Rodd Rawlings stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Doug Leather's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Todd Gardner got free with Guy Barnfield in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 86 minutes of play Ossett United's Todd Gardner was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 87th minute, Todd Gardner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 87th minute of the match Anthony Clayton sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rodd Rawlings skillfully saved the ball. Phil Delaney blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rodd Rawlings having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Doug Leather in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rodd Rawlings saved Ossett United from getting behind. The Bhatti Slappers F.C supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ossett United's performance. The match ended with a win for Ossett United.
