In the 21st minute, carrick red star's Leon Parkin seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Leon Parkin the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of carrick red star protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Leon Parkin had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The goalkeeper, Liam Bolton, was totally fooled by burton united's Walter Hoult, who 23 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Liam Bolton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dominik Griggs, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Dominik Griggs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Liam Bolton having to interfere. If Timothy Brent had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute, burton united's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Timothy Brent fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Charlie Crooks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Charlie Crooks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute, Timothy Brent hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. burton united's Dominik Griggs got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in burton united's zone, Charlie Crooks stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vern Weedon came out of the goal and Charlie Crooks tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Charlie Crooks fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vern Weedon having to interfere. Timothy Brent received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Vern Weedon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The burton united players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
