Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Piers Windsor kicked off to start the match. Dominik Griggs was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 2nd minute. burton united's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Piers Windsor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vern Weedon having to interfere. Fred Johnston fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Piers McNiven having to interfere. Piers McNiven stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dominik Griggs's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Ralf Knightley could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Piers McNiven made a huge save. FC Chelsea's defense didn't have a chance, in the 22nd minute, when Fred Johnston scored to the left of an out of position Piers McNiven, making the score, 1-0. Dominik Griggs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Piers McNiven having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, FC Chelsea's goalkeeper Piers McNiven had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ralf Knightley. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Ralf Knightley managed to get in a good position for a shot. burton united's supporters rose to their feet, but Ralf Knightley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Piers McNiven breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Chelsea's goalkeeper Piers McNiven, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 42nd minute Dominik Griggs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Piers McNiven saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th minute, Dominik Griggs fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Piers McNiven, passed just outside the right post. With a little luck, FC Chelsea's Piers McNiven got control of the ball when Ralf Knightley tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dominik Griggs made a kick off. Dominik Griggs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Piers McNiven took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dominik Griggs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ralf Knightley in the 58th minute of play forced FC Chelsea's goalkeeper Piers McNiven to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC Chelsea's zone, Ralf Knightley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Piers McNiven came out of the goal and Ralf Knightley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 62nd minute Dominik Griggs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Piers McNiven saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd match minute, FC Chelsea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Piers Windsor to maneuver through the defense. Dominik Griggs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Piers McNiven tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ralf Knightley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Piers McNiven showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dominik Griggs, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. 72 minutes into the match, FC Chelsea's goal looked a bit too open when Ralf Knightley came free, but Piers McNiven reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Piers McNiven showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dominik Griggs in the 74th minute of the match. Ralf Knightley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Chelsea's Piers McNiven played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dominik Griggs in the 78th minute of play. Piers McNiven showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dominik Griggs in the 80th minute of the match. Piers McNiven made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ralf Knightley in the 82nd minute of play. Dominik Griggs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Piers McNiven having to interfere. Fred Johnston took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Piers McNiven. Piers McNiven dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. burton united fully deserved thier win.
