Owen Stone's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Oliver Naisbitt firmly grabbed it by the left post. A collision led to Norby City getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Jacob Black hit a great ball. Steve Rush received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Byron Whitman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Byron Whitman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donny Perryman in the 26th minute of play. Oliver Naisbitt made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Owen Stone sent off a good shot on target. Norby City's Oliver Naisbitt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Norby City from getting a goal against them. Donny Rundell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oliver Naisbitt having to interfere. With a little luck, Norby City's Oliver Naisbitt got control of the ball when Samuel Pritchard tried to sneak it across the goal line. Steve Rush kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Donny Rundell stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Samuel Pritchard kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Donny Perryman got free with Byron Whitman in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Norby City's Kristopher Wills got a free kick in the 58th minute. Byron Whitman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charlie Huxtable in the 61st minute of play. Donny Perryman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Byron Whitman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Norby City's Charlie Huxtable dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Byron Whitman made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Donny Perryman sent off a good shot on target. In the 76th minute Charlie Huxtable shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Byron Whitman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Shrewsbury's defense didn't have a chance, in the 81st minute, when Charlie Huxtable scored to the left of an out of position Byron Whitman, making the score, 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donny Rundell in the 88th minute of play forced Norby City's goalkeeper Oliver Naisbitt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Donny Perryman got free with Byron Whitman in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Shrewsbury supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Norby City's performance. The match ended with a win for Norby City.
