With a little luck, Sheffield FC's Robert Morrell got control of the ball when Ralph Rutherford tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Laindon FC booed when Sheffield FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luke Bloom didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute of the match, Ralph Rutherford got a very nice opportunity to score, but Robert Morrell was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Sheffield FC's Robert Morrell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kyle East in the 24th minute of play. Robert Morrell made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Ralph Rutherford sent off a good shot on target. Robert Morrell was out of position in the 30 minute of play, and Kyle East capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Al Ansell made a kick off. Luke Bloom hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. A collision led to Laindon FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Kyle East hit a great ball. Laindon FC's Rufus Broadbent proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Laindon FC from getting a goal against them. In the 61st minute, Ralph Rutherford ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Robert Morrell was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Al Ansell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rufus Broadbent having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Luke Bloom's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rufus Broadbent was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. In the 69th minute, Al Ansell left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sheffield FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Luke Bloom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Rufus Broadbent tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Al Ansell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A hard shot 82 in the game by Al Ansell from a close distance when the talented Rufus Broadbent managed to make a qualified save. Laindon FC's players were relieved. Robert Morrell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alf Chandler in the 83rd minute of play. Robert Morrell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kyle East, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Al Ansell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Robert Morrell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ralph Rutherford in the 95th minute of play. Laindon FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Sheffield FC for a fine match.
