Spectators: 7520 (Terracing: 5641, Seating: 1729, VIP seats: 150) Southampton fc's Jasper Emberson started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Southampton fc's Jeremy Cooper got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Dane Payne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Travis McAleer having to interfere. In the 8th minute, Dane Payne ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Travis McAleer was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Brian Delaney took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Aaron Lawless to make any attempt to save it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dane Payne in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Travis McAleer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 20 minutes into the game, Ivan Wrigley cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Travis McAleer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Stalowe United's Aaron Lawless proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Stalowe United from getting a goal against them. Ivan Wrigley blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Travis McAleer having to make a save. Dane Payne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Travis McAleer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37thth minute of the game Dane Payne who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Southampton fc's Travis McAleer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Dane Payne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jacob Hall in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aaron Lawless prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Southampton fc's Travis McAleer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noel Gettins in the 45th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dane Payne made a kick off. In the 53rd minute of the game, Ivan Wrigley landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. In the 55th match minute, Southampton fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacob Hall to maneuver through the defense. Dane Payne who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of Travis McAleer when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Travis McAleer was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dane Payne showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 58 minute of play. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Dane Payne put it in 1-4 from a short distance just to the right of Travis McAleer. Travis McAleer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dane Payne in the 68th minute of the match. After 70 minutes, Jasper Emberson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Southampton fc and the Stalowe United players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Southampton fc getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Jasper Emberson hit a great ball. Dane Payne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Travis McAleer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Calum Mullen in the 76th minute of play. Dane Payne in the 82ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Travis McAleer, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dane Payne in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Travis McAleer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 84 minutes, Shane Davison managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stalowe United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Shane Davison was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dane Payne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Travis McAleer having to interfere. Craig Rundle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Travis McAleer made a huge save. Shane Davison sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Dane Payne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 96 minutes into the match, Southampton fc's goal looked a bit too open when Dane Payne came free, but Travis McAleer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
