Seating: 1743, VIP seats: 151) Leiston's Blair Wadham started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Seb Martin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Bryan Fields made a huge save. In the 9th minute of the match, Blair Wadham tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bryan Fields saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 9 minutes into the match, Blair Wadham notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Westbourne United's Bryan Fields. Bryan Fields was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Seb Martin came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Leiston fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Seb Martin couldn't finish the play. Seb Martin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bryan Fields having to interfere. Phil Riad struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Ash Beswetherick didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Westbourne United. Seb Martin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bryan Fields came out and tried to block the shot, but Seb Martin slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 35th minute. Ash Beswetherick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Phil Riad, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Phil Riad to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Blair Wadham managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leiston's supporters crossed their fingers, but Blair Wadham was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ash Beswetherick made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eric Bellamy in the 57th minute. Seb Martin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bryan Fields having to make a save. If Blair Wadham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Westbourne United's Nat Gulliver got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 66th minute Blair Wadham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bryan Fields saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonny Holmes hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Phil Riad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Ash Beswetherick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 74 minutes into the game, Blair Wadham cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Bryan Fields was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ash Beswetherick made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eric Bellamy in the 77th minute. Phil Riad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ash Beswetherick having to interfere. 4-0 became the score in the 84th minute when Blair Wadham elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Zackary Richardson charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zackary Richardson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 89th match minute, Westbourne United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zackary Richardson to maneuver through the defense. Blair Wadham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Bryan Fields tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 93rd minute by Eric Bellamy got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Phil Riad managed to get in a good position for a shot. Westbourne United's supporters rose to their feet, but Phil Riad was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ash Beswetherick breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eric Bellamy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ash Beswetherick having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Leiston had won after a very even match.
