The Whitton City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Graham Morrison should have stopped the shot. 22 minutes into the match, Marty Dingle notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Whitton City's Graham Morrison. Graham Morrison was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Seth Fountain put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Graham Morrison. The Wankers fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Wankers's Seth Fountain looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Marty Dingle's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Graham Morrison read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. In the 45th minute, Seth Fountain left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wankers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Damian Grigg to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match, Marty Dingle got a very nice opportunity to score, but Graham Morrison was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Through an outstanding action, after 57 minutes, Graham Morrison successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After some careless play in the Whitton City defense, Marty Dingle kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Graham Morrison. The Whitton City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Graham Morrison should have stopped the shot. If Seth Fountain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Wankers's Seth Fountain in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When Johnnie Robinson fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Whitton City's protests and gave Johnnie Robinson a yellow card for diving instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marty Dingle got free with Graham Morrison in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 82nd minute Tommy Pamplin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Graham Morrison saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marty Dingle struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Graham Morrison didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wankers. Graham Morrison made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tommy Pamplin in the 85th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ben Kitching in the 86th minute of play forced Whitton City's goalkeeper Graham Morrison to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Seth Fountain struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Graham Morrison didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wankers. Graham Morrison showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Seth Fountain in the 92nd minute of the match. Whitton City's Graham Morrison proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Whitton City from getting a goal against them. Bart Wroe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damian Grigg, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. When the final whistle sounded Wankers left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Whitton City.
