Nicholas Bettinson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Edmunds in the 4th minute of play. The supporters of Oli O FC booed when FC Huntingdon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dylon Bond didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Huntingdon's Nicholas Bettinson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pete Sheringham in the 5th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Pete Sheringham's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nicholas Bettinson was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. Pedro Edmunds might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nicholas Bettinson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pedro Edmunds ran back to his position shaking his head. Jamal Liddle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Pedro Medlin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jamal Liddle in the 34th minute of play forced Oli O FC's goalkeeper Pedro Medlin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute Pete Sheringham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicholas Bettinson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Edmunds fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicholas Bettinson having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pete Sheringham in the 40th minute of play forced FC Huntingdon's goalkeeper Nicholas Bettinson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicholas Bettinson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pete Sheringham, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. 44 minutes into the match, FC Huntingdon's Jamal Liddle sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Medlin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 46 minutes into the match, FC Huntingdon's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Edmunds came free, but Nicholas Bettinson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pete Sheringham to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Oli O FC were awarded a corner. Glen Dodgson went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Oli O FC's corner Glen Dodgson fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Nicholas Bettinson quite easily take care of the ball. The supporters of Oli O FC booed when FC Huntingdon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jim Spacey didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Duncan Woodford fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. After 61 minutes, John Clayton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Oli O FC and the FC Huntingdon players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 61st match minute, Oli O FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by John Clayton to maneuver through the defense. Duncan Woodford got his second yellow card in the match during the 67th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Sebastian Cooper's late challenge caught a FC Huntingdon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sebastian Cooper helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of FC Huntingdon booed when Oli O FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Cooper didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Jamal Liddle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Edmunds sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th minute, Pedro Edmunds got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Reg Shakespeare scored 1-0 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Medlin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. FC Huntingdon were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Oli O FC for a fine match.
