Spectators: 7219 (Terracing: 5719, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Pat Boyd made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd minute Hayden Pye-Finch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edward Pearson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andy Francis in the 4th minute of play forced Lambeth FC's goalkeeper Edward Pearson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Darren Bartlett took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 7th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Edward Pearson. Lambeth FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Vic Wicks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Crispin Boyd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Deon Harper tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Castleford's Ash Davey got a free kick in the 11th minute. Edward Pearson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pat Boyd in the 19th minute of the match. Lambeth FC's Freddie Dryden quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Conan Lister, made in the 22nd minute of the game. Ash Davey scored 1-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edward Pearson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 31st minute, Ethan Airton left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lambeth FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After 37 minutes, Andy Francis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Castleford and the Lambeth FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 42nd match minute, Castleford was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andy Francis to maneuver through the defense. Ethan Airton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vic Wicks was the one to do the kick off. Andy Francis kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. The supporters of Lambeth FC booed when Castleford was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ash Davey didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lambeth FC's Vic Wicks got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vic Wicks's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Deon Harper read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Ethan Airton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Deon Harper showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ethan Airton, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Edward Pearson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pat Boyd, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Vic Wicks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Lambeth FC booed when Castleford was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pat Boyd didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edward Pearson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hayden Pye-Finch in the 75th minute. Crispin Boyd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Deon Harper having to interfere. With a little luck, Lambeth FC's Edward Pearson got control of the ball when Hayden Pye-Finch tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Ash Davey ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edward Pearson was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Crispin Boyd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Deon Harper having to interfere. 86 minutes into the game, Ash Davey was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Castleford's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lambeth FC the free kick. In the 87th match minute, Castleford was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ash Davey to maneuver through the defense. Edward Pearson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andy Francis in the 89th minute of the match. With a little luck, Lambeth FC's Edward Pearson got control of the ball when Ash Davey tried to sneak it across the goal line. Chants of Castleford echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Lambeth FC had held the ball for most of the match.
