In the 5th play minute Ivan Wallbank came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Shane Sansom. 1-0. In the 13th minute, Steve Hollingsworth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ivan Wallbank in the 17thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Shane Sansom, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A collision led to AFC Thunder Downunder getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Bob Almond hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute, FYR of Slough's Ivan Wallbank dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Ivan Wallbank fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shane Sansom having to interfere. Ivan Wallbank received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Shane Sansom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind AFC Thunder Downunder's goalkeeper Shane Sansom, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 36 minutes into the match, AFC Thunder Downunder's goal looked a bit too open when Sly Neville came free, but Shane Sansom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ivan Wallbank fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shane Sansom having to interfere. Sly Neville received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Shane Sansom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ivan Wallbank struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Shane Sansom didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FYR of Slough.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sly Neville stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Junior Chiverton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Junior Pearce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 56 played minutes, FYR of Slough's Liam Curtis shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Shane Sansom came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FYR of Slough reached it. AFC Thunder Downunder's Shane Sansom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sly Neville in the 58th minute of play. In the 75th minute Sly Neville shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shane Sansom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Junior Pearce received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Junior Chiverton came out and tried to block the shot, but Junior Pearce slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 77th minute. In the 80th minute Sly Neville shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shane Sansom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute Junior Pearce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Junior Chiverton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 85th minute, FYR of Slough's Sammy Abbotts seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Sammy Abbotts the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FYR of Slough protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Sammy Abbotts had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 84 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FYR of Slough! Jason Salmon took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Junior Chiverton. Junior Chiverton dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Darius Norman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Junior Chiverton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The FYR of Slough fans' excitement grew in the 96th match minute when FYR of Slough's Ivan Wallbank looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FYR of Slough had won after a very even match.
