Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Marek Coogan kicked off to start the match. After a rather tough play, Eaton FC's Adrian Mowlem got a free kick in the 2nd minute. In the 4th match minute, Stoneleigh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bobby Higgins to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Stoneleigh booed when Eaton FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dave Peat didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Zane Hargraves from long distance, 8 minutes into the match, got Felix Littlechild's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 11th minute, Stoneleigh's Stevie Welsh dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 16 minutes into the game, Freddie Faith was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stoneleigh's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Eaton FC the free kick. Lewis Pennant sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jacob Thorn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lewis Pennant in the 27th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lewis Pennant in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacob Thorn saved Stoneleigh from getting behind. Lewis Pennant received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Jacob Thorn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bobby Higgins's late challenge caught a Eaton FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bobby Higgins helped the player get up and apologised. Derek Boatman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jacob Thorn having to make a save. Felix Littlechild took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marek Coogan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th minute Marek Coogan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felix Littlechild saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After 51 played minutes Eaton FC got a freekick which was hit by Dave Peat. Zane Hargraves scored 2-1 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Felix Littlechild, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 58th minute Stevie Welsh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felix Littlechild saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Derek Boatman took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Jacob Thorn to make any attempt to save it. But to his dismay, Stevie Welsh quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Felix Littlechild showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stevie Welsh, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Felix Littlechild showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stevie Welsh in the 78th minute of the match. Freddie Faith hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Felix Littlechild took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hayden Forster, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Stoneleigh's zone, Pete Odell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacob Thorn came out of the goal and Pete Odell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marek Coogan in the 89th minute of play forced Eaton FC's goalkeeper Felix Littlechild to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Lewis Pennant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute, Kirk Slabber fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jacob Thorn, passed just outside the right post.
