Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Keanu Cross made the kick off which started today's match. A hard shot by Nat Parry from long distance, 4 minutes into the match, got David Goldthorpe's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Zane Ford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lance Robertson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Keanu Cross, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 10 minutes into the game, Carl Langdon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Lance Robertson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alnwick Town's Lance Robertson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Keanu Cross in the 14th minute of play. Peter Gilchrist might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over David Goldthorpe. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Peter Gilchrist ran back to his position shaking his head. David Goldthorpe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Peter Gilchrist's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Alnwick Town's goal looked a bit too open when Darren Beswetherick came free, but Lance Robertson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lance Robertson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carl Langdon went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vance Ramsden in the 27th minute of play forced Alnwick Town's goalkeeper Lance Robertson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute Carl Langdon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lance Robertson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Doug Grainger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. David Goldthorpe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Weir FC's David Goldthorpe got control of the ball when Doug Grainger tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Alnwick Town getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Doug Grainger hit a great ball. The Alnwick Town players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Weir FC were winning 0-2.

In the 52nd minute, Carl Langdon fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Lance Robertson, passed just outside the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Peter Gilchrist in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck David Goldthorpe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alnwick Town's Lance Robertson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Keanu Cross in the 60th minute of play. Zackary Summers kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nat Parry in the 62nd minute of play forced Weir FC's goalkeeper David Goldthorpe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute of the match Graham Ripley sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but David Goldthorpe skillfully saved the ball. Peter Gilchrist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. David Goldthorpe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Darren Beswetherick could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Lance Robertson made a huge save. In the 81st match minute, Weir FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sean Truscott to maneuver through the defense. David Goldthorpe came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Alnwick Town's Peter Gilchrist. But to his dismay, Peter Gilchrist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Peter Gilchrist scored 2-3 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of David Goldthorpe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Keanu Cross managed to get in a good position for a shot. Weir FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Keanu Cross was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lance Robertson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lance Robertson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Keanu Cross, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The Alnwick Town supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Weir FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Weir FC.
