Spectators: 7285 (Terracing: 5635, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 150) Will Mulligan started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 5 minutes into the match, South Ockendon FC's goalkeeper Grant Beswetherick had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marty Sherman. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Will Mulligan in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sly Fox saved FC REAL DR from getting behind. In the 9th minute, Scott Patten got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Grant Beswetherick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Scott Patten in the 12th minute of the match. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC REAL DR's goalkeeper Sly Fox, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 17 minutes, Neil Boston mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC REAL DR and the South Ockendon FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 16 minutes into the game, one of FC REAL DR:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 21 minutes into the match, Marty Sherman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Grant Beswetherick. South Ockendon FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marty Sherman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Johnathon Linkletter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sly Fox showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Will Mulligan in the 26th minute of the match. When Marty Sherman came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the FC REAL DR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marty Sherman couldn't finish the play. In the 35th minute of the match, Scott Patten tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Grant Beswetherick saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With a little luck, South Ockendon FC's Grant Beswetherick got control of the ball when Marty Sherman tried to sneak it across the goal line. 43 minutes in the game, Scott Patten fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Grant Beswetherick having to interfere. Sly Fox made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Will Mulligan in the 45th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Will Mulligan in the 55th minute of play forced FC REAL DR's goalkeeper Sly Fox to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grant Beswetherick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marty Sherman in the 56th minute of play. A collision led to South Ockendon FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Peter Bannatyne hit a great ball. Scott Patten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Grant Beswetherick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Scott Patten might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Grant Beswetherick. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Scott Patten ran back to his position shaking his head. Scott Patten recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC REAL DR's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave South Ockendon FC the free kick. The supporters of South Ockendon FC booed when FC REAL DR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tyler Crittenden didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC REAL DR's zone, Will Mulligan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sly Fox came out of the goal and Will Mulligan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Will Mulligan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sly Fox having to make a save. 77 minutes into the game, Owen Warburton cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Sly Fox was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 81st minute Marty Sherman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grant Beswetherick saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Marty Sherman came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the FC REAL DR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marty Sherman couldn't finish the play. 86 minutes into the match, South Ockendon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marty Sherman came free, but Grant Beswetherick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Grant Beswetherick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marty Sherman in the 87th minute of the match. When FC REAL DR's Scott Patten in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye South Ockendon FC's goalie prevented a goal.
