Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) In the 5th minute, Adrian Edmunds hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Egremont United's Jerome Inman tried to score from far away in the 6th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 17th minute Frazer Sunderland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Colin Ely saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Thornbury's goal looked a bit too open when Camron Duckworth came free, but Spike Kay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frazer Sunderland had several of the Egremont United's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 21 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Colin Ely as he didn't even see the shot coming. Camron Duckworth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frazer Sunderland blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Colin Ely having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Camron Duckworth managed to get in a good position for a shot. Egremont United's supporters rose to their feet, but Camron Duckworth was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Spike Kay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Spike Kay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Camron Duckworth, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After 36 played minutes Thornbury got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Edmunds. Billie Kitchen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Spike Kay having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Keanu Chapman could shoot a difficult shot in the 39th minute, which Colin Ely however easily saved by the left post. When Freddy Westerby fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Thornbury's protests and gave Freddy Westerby a yellow card for diving instead. Freddy Westerby hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Camron Duckworth put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Spike Kay. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Billie Kitchen made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Egremont United's goal looked a bit too open when Keanu Chapman came free, but Colin Ely reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Frazer Sunderland in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Colin Ely saved Egremont United from getting behind. After 54 minutes, Billie Kitchen made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Thornbury's Spike Kay tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Colin Ely took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frazer Sunderland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frazer Sunderland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Colin Ely having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Keanu Chapman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Colin Ely was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Frazer Sunderland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Colin Ely tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Thornbury booed when Egremont United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rueben Dickens didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frazer Sunderland in the 70th minute of play forced Egremont United's goalkeeper Colin Ely to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Frazer Sunderland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th of the match, Billie Kitchen tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Spike Kay got in the way and made a wonderful save. With splendid footwork Billie Kitchen arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-3 by the left pole in the game's 78th minute. Egremont United's Colin Ely played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Keanu Chapman in the 86th minute of play. After 87 played minutes Egremont United got a freekick which was hit by Rueben Dickens. 88 minutes into the game, Thornbury's Keanu Chapman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Colin Ely made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. When the match clock showed 97 minutes, the score became 2-4 when Camron Duckworth sped through Thornbury's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Spike Kay. The Egremont United players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
