Stu Dodgson was a little too slow when Dom Braithwaite got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 14th minute. The score was now 1-1. Garry Chambers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Last Kings's Dom Walton in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Richard Kalischer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Garry Chambers's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. After 35 played minutes Wirral Blues got a freekick which was hit by Trevor Jefferies. Dom Walton struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Richard Kalischer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Last Kings. 44 minutes into the match, Last Kings's Dom Walton sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Richard Kalischer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Trevor Jefferies during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Wirral Blues getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Trevor Jefferies hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Last Kings's Stu Dodgson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dom Braithwaite in the 92nd minute of play.
