Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Billie Kitchen took the kick off in the first half of the match. 6 minutes into the game, Egremont United's Camron Duckworth nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eric May made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 9 minutes into the match, Egremont United's Billie Kitchen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eric May narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 13 minutes into the game, Jake Swift was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Worthing United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Egremont United the free kick. 16 minutes into the game, Jerome Inman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Billie Kitchen might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eric May. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Billie Kitchen ran back to his position shaking his head. Through an outstanding action, after 44 minutes, Colin Ely successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Olly Wooding was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Jeffrey Tolley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Egremont United's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeffrey Tolley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eric May breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Billie Kitchen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Camron Duckworth couldn't finish the play. After 83 minutes of play Worthing United's Jake Swift was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Egremont United booed when Worthing United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jake Swift didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Billie Kitchen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Colin Ely showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sid Auckland, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Worthing United's defense didn't have a chance, in the 91st minute, when Billie Kitchen scored to the left of an out of position Eric May, making the score, 1-2. When the match was over Egremont United could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Worthing United throughout the match.
