Through an outstanding action, after 44 minutes, Colin Ely successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Olly Wooding was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Jeffrey Tolley managed to get in a good position for a shot. After 83 minutes of play Worthing United's Jake Swift was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Colin Ely showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sid Auckland, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Worthing United's defense didn't have a chance, in the 91st minute, when Billie Kitchen scored to the left of an out of position Eric May, making the score, 1-2. When the match was over Egremont United could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Worthing United throughout the match.
