Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) An unexpectedly hard shot by Keanu Chapman in the 3rd minute of play forced Whitstable United's goalkeeper Theo McGrath to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Theo McGrath took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frazer Sunderland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 6th minute of the match Thornbury got a corner. Whitstable United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Frank Ramsay ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Thornbury's corner Frank Ramsay fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Theo McGrath quite easily take care of the ball. In the 9th match minute, Thornbury was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Edmunds to maneuver through the defense. Whitstable United's Antony Watson got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 13 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Dylon Fairbank sped through Thornbury's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Spike Kay. After a defensive mix-up in Thornbury's zone, Antony Watson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Spike Kay came out of the goal and Antony Watson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Spike Kay made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Dylon Fairbank sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Antony Watson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Spike Kay was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. If Keanu Chapman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Freddy Westerby during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Thornbury fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 27th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 29 minutes, Whitstable United's Felix Kerfoot got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Spike Kay. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dylon Fairbank got free with Spike Kay in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 37 minutes, Frazer Sunderland mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Thornbury and the Whitstable United players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 37th minute, Frazer Sunderland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 39 minutes into the game, Whitstable United's Dylon Fairbank nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Spike Kay made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Dylon Fairbank took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Spike Kay. Spike Kay dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Antony Watson made a kick off. Whitstable United's Antony Watson got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After taking down the ball on Whitstable United's corner Felix Kerfoot fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Spike Kay quite easily take care of the ball. Theo McGrath showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frazer Sunderland in the 55th minute of the match. Theo McGrath showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frazer Sunderland, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 59th minute, Antony Watson made a precise shot to the right of Spike Kay. Thornbury's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Spike Kay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antony Watson in the 62nd minute of play. Theo McGrath showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frazer Sunderland, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Keanu Chapman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Theo McGrath tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Whitstable United's George Trotter got a free kick in the 71st minute. Whitstable United's Theo McGrath proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Whitstable United from getting a goal against them. Frazer Sunderland might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Theo McGrath. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frazer Sunderland ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frazer Sunderland in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Theo McGrath prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When George Trotter fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Whitstable United's protests and gave George Trotter a yellow card for diving instead. George Trotter kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Dylon Fairbank received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Spike Kay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antony Watson in the 86th minute of play forced Thornbury's goalkeeper Spike Kay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Thornbury's Theo McGrath threw himself towards the right post 90 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Frazer Sunderland, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Dylon Fairbank received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Spike Kay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Whitstable United's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
