Stu Dodgson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Whitstable United's Dylon Fairbank got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Stu Dodgson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antony Watson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dylon Fairbank struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Stu Dodgson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Whitstable United. Lance Plant kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. 35 minutes into the game, Dylon Fairbank cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Stu Dodgson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dylon Fairbank received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Stu Dodgson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Antony Watson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Last Kings's Cody Mowlem got a free kick in the 44th minute. In the 46th minute, Dylon Fairbank got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Dylon Fairbank could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Stu Dodgson made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Antony Watson in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stu Dodgson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Whitstable United booed when Last Kings was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lance Plant didn't get a good kick on the ball. The tension between the Last Kings and the Whitstable United players grew even worse after the yellow card.
