In the 9th minute Seb Dodd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dean Newell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. John-Paul Downham struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Dean Newell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Walendów United. The audience was convinced that Seth Clough's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Richard Metcalf was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Wally Helks hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Justin Edwards's late challenge caught a Kriegsmarine FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Justin Edwards helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Kriegsmarine FC booed when Walendów United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justin Edwards didn't get a good kick on the ball. If John-Paul Downham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dean Newell came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Walendów United's John-Paul Downham. But to his dismay, John-Paul Downham quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. John-Paul Downham might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dean Newell. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. John-Paul Downham ran back to his position shaking his head. 31 minutes into the match, Kriegsmarine FC's goal looked a bit too open when Seb Dodd came free, but Dean Newell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wally Helks charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wally Helks the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 42nd match minute, Walendów United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wally Helks to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nathanial Kellaway to make the kick off. Seb Dodd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Dean Newell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 3-0 became the score in the 55th minute when Seb Dodd elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Kriegsmarine FC's Seth Clough got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Richard Metcalf showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nathanial Kellaway in the 66th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the game, Kriegsmarine FC's Seth Clough nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Richard Metcalf made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. When John-Paul Downham came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Walendów United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that John-Paul Downham couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nathanial Kellaway in the 75th minute of play forced Walendów United's goalkeeper Richard Metcalf to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, John-Paul Downham managed to get in a good position for a shot. Walendów United's supporters rose to their feet, but John-Paul Downham was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dean Newell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 78 minutes, John-Paul Downham made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Kriegsmarine FC's Dean Newell tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 88th minute, John-Paul Downham got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Nathanial Kellaway managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kriegsmarine FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nathanial Kellaway was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Richard Metcalf breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Seth Clough sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Walendów United's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
