Spectators: 7658 (Terracing: 5745, Seating: 1761, VIP seats: 152) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Joey Coogan kicked off to start the match. Howard Noble showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lee Blackwater in the 5th minute of the match. In the 5th minute, Lee Blackwater ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Howard Noble was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a rather tough play, Newton Green Rovers's Doug Salt got a free kick in the 7th minute. 10 minutes into the match, CumDrops's goalkeeper Rio Shaw had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mickey Kessler. If Doug Salt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joey Coogan in the 16th minute of play forced Newton Green Rovers's goalkeeper Howard Noble to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Doug Salt dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rio Shaw, 1-1. Henry Lightfoot might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Howard Noble. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Henry Lightfoot ran back to his position shaking his head. When Newton Green Rovers's Doug Salt in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CumDrops's goalie prevented a goal. In the 32nd minute, Joey Coogan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mickey Kessler had several of the CumDrops's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 34 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Rio Shaw as he didn't even see the shot coming. If Doug Salt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 38 minutes, Wágner Lucas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Newton Green Rovers and the CumDrops players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of CumDrops booed when Newton Green Rovers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wágner Lucas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Doug Salt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute of the match, Doug Salt tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rio Shaw saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Doug Salt scored 3-1 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rio Shaw, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Henry Lightfoot did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-2 to the left of a surprised Howard Noble 52 minutes into the match. When Newton Green Rovers's Doug Salt in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CumDrops's goalie prevented a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joey Coogan during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 61st match minute, CumDrops was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joey Coogan to maneuver through the defense. 66 minutes into the game, Austin Barron recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Howard Noble. Austin Barron showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-3. Mickey Kessler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rio Shaw having to interfere. 75 minutes into the match, Newton Green Rovers's goalkeeper Howard Noble had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lee Blackwater. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Doug Salt in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rio Shaw prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rio Shaw made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mickey Kessler in the 80th minute of play. In the 82nd minute Joey Coogan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Howard Noble saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 87 minutes of play, Newton Green Rovers's Mickey Kessler made it 5-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rio Shaw was left in no man's land by his defense there! Doug Salt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Newton Green Rovers booed when CumDrops was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henry Lightfoot didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dion Willets took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 92nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rio Shaw. CumDrops's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 95th minute, CumDrops's Joey Coogan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Howard Noble. Howard Noble yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-4. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Newton Green Rovers fully deserved thier win.
