With a couple of smart ball manuevers Damon Flower in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zane Roche saved Londons finest from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donald Moyle in the 7th minute of play forced Thornbury's goalkeeper Joseph Brindley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute, Gav Daly got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Londons finest's Billy Denham slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Joseph Brindley. That made the score 1-0 after 11 minutes of play. Donald Moyle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 16 minutes, Damon Flower managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thornbury's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damon Flower was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 17th minute Ross Lambert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joseph Brindley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute, Londons finest's Donald Moyle dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Billy Denham could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Joseph Brindley made a huge save. Gwyn Barltrop lost his temper 30 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 30th minute, one of Thornbury:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Thornbury. In the 35th minute, Billy Denham hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Damon Flower in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zane Roche saved Londons finest from getting behind. Zane Roche stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Damon Flower's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Damon Flower was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Thornbury's Gav Daly ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Zane Roche. Zane Roche yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-2. After a defensive mix-up in Londons finest's zone, Gav Daly stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zane Roche came out of the goal and Gav Daly tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jim Land hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Zane Roche showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gav Daly in the 68th minute of the match. Donald Moyle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joseph Brindley having to interfere. 73 minutes into the match Damon Flower climbed in front of goal and pressed up 3-3 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Zane Roche. A collision led to Londons finest getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Victor Brownlow hit a great ball. Zane Roche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damon Flower in the 88th minute of play. With his leg Zane Roche managed to avoid a goal in the 90thth minute, when Thornbury's Damon Flower fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Billy Denham hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. 95 minutes in the game, Gav Daly fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Zane Roche having to interfere. If Damon Flower had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thornbury's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
