When John Ellerton fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Osaze FC's protests and gave John Ellerton a yellow card for diving instead. John Ellerton hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Thom Sinclair hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Vic Jowsey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar Bowland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tosh Harris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vic Jowsey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Bowland in the 15th minute of play. Vic Jowsey came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Flash of the Blade's Oscar Bowland. But to his dismay, Oscar Bowland quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Oscar Bowland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vic Jowsey stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oscar Bowland's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oscar Bowland in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vic Jowsey prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vic Jowsey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Bowland, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. 34 minutes into the match, Flash of the Blade's goal looked a bit too open when Dylan Duxbury came free, but Pedro McAleer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vic Jowsey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Bowland in the 37th minute of play. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Osaze FC's goalkeeper Vic Jowsey, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Osaze FC's Hayden Lee-Barrett got a free kick in the 44th minute. Pete Acton blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vic Jowsey having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oscar Bowland in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vic Jowsey prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dylan Duxbury to make the kick off. Osaze FC's Vic Jowsey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damion Towler in the 54th minute of play. Vic Jowsey stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Damion Towler's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Damion Towler who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of Vic Jowsey when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Vic Jowsey made an important save on a dangerous shot by Casey Gilchrist in the 57th minute. 60 minutes into the game, Trevor Cardwell was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Flash of the Blade's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Osaze FC the free kick. Trevor Cardwell kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Damion Towler did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-3 to the left of a surprised Vic Jowsey 65 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute, Felix Bignot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 71st minute, Casey Gilchrist made a precise shot to the right of Vic Jowsey. Osaze FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. When the match clock showed 76 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Damion Towler sped through Osaze FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vic Jowsey. Osaze FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 84th minute, when Tosh Harris scored to the left of an out of position Vic Jowsey, making the score, 0-6. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Damion Towler in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vic Jowsey saved Osaze FC from getting behind. 98 minutes into the game, Flash of the Blade's Damion Towler nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vic Jowsey made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. Flash of the Blade's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
