Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Leigh Dyson made the kick off which started today's match. In the 9th minute, Ged Thomson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alec Floyd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 17th minute, Joseph Atkinson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Steve Speed managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when Dover AFC's Bruce Foster fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 26 minutes into the match, Bristol St George City's goalkeeper Steve Speed had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bruce Foster. Alec Floyd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steve Speed having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Dover AFC's Joseph Atkinson got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 37th minute, Dover AFC's Richie Tomkins dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Alec Floyd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Steve Speed tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 43 played minutes Bristol St George City got a freekick which was hit by Joel Hamilton. A hard shot by Joseph Atkinson from long distance, 45 minutes into the match, got Steve Speed's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Joseph Atkinson hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After 56 played minutes Bristol St George City got a freekick which was hit by Josh Kerridge. When Ged Thomson fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bristol St George City's protests and gave Ged Thomson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 61st minute of the match Lewis Wardill sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Steve Speed skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruce Foster in the 62nd minute of play forced Bristol St George City's goalkeeper Steve Speed to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Deon Maylett kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Bruce Foster might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Steve Speed. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bruce Foster ran back to his position shaking his head. Steve Speed showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruce Foster, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 79th minute Bruce Foster shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steve Speed saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Bristol St George City's Joel Hamilton got a free kick in the 81st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruce Foster in the 84th minute of play forced Bristol St George City's goalkeeper Steve Speed to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Adam Biernat fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bristol St George City's protests and gave Adam Biernat a yellow card for diving instead. Steve Speed took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denzil Meehan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Steve Speed made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruce Foster in the 92nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Bristol St George City's zone, Bruce Foster stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Steve Speed came out of the goal and Bruce Foster tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee ended the match the Dover AFC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
