Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Len Bradbury got the match started through his kick off. After having played for 3 minutes, Louis Frizzell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zoo fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Louis Frizzell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Zoo fc getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Adrian Bridgeman hit a great ball. Kurt Bullock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Louis Frizzell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Harry Stockton came free with the goalkeeper in the 14th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dominic Houghton could save by the left post. 19 minutes into the match, Zoo fc's goalkeeper Dominic Houghton had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Harry Stockton. The audience was convinced that Len Bradbury's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dominic Houghton was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. After 30 minutes, Adrian Bridgeman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zoo fc and the Matlock players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kurt Bullock came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Zoo fc's Jon Bentham. But to his dismay, Jon Bentham quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Harry Stockton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dominic Houghton having to interfere. Louis Frizzell took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kurt Bullock. Kurt Bullock dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jon Bentham stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Matlock's Kurt Bullock played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Louis Frizzell in the 52nd minute of play. In the 56th minute, Jamal Hunter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jon Bentham in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kurt Bullock saved Matlock from getting behind. Jamal Hunter hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. After 69 minutes, Harry Stockton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Matlock and the Zoo fc players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Matlock getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Harry Stockton hit a great ball. If Jon Bentham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Len Bradbury succeeded in the game's 72nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. If Len Bradbury had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jon Bentham recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jon Bentham struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Kurt Bullock didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zoo fc. When Harry Stockton came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Matlock fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Harry Stockton couldn't finish the play. In the 89th minute Harry Stockton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dominic Houghton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Len Bradbury got in the 91st a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Dominic Houghton handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. In the 92nd minute of the match Alfie Moyle shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dominic Houghton showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 93rd match minute, Zoo fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Bridgeman to maneuver through the defense. Len Bradbury struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Dominic Houghton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Matlock. Harry Stockton might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dominic Houghton. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Harry Stockton ran back to his position shaking his head. Len Bradbury sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Zoo fc walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
