The referee ignored Kikhavn FC's protests and gave Peter Tisdale a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Kikhavn FC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Peter Tisdale hit a great ball. After 7 minutes, Sid Younger made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Kikhavn FC's Brian Goldthorpe tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. James Holbrook didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 13th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. Bourne End were furious when Rupert Boulton was red carded, 16 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 16th minute, one of Bourne End:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Bourne End. The goalkeeper, James Holbrook, was totally fooled by Kikhavn FC's Kristian Titmus, who 18 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Sean Wilmott sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 25 minutes into the match, Kikhavn FC's Carl Broad sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that James Holbrook narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Carl Broad could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but James Holbrook made a huge save. In the 31st minute of the match, Carl Broad got a very nice opportunity to score, but James Holbrook was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. James Holbrook showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sean Wilmott in the 32nd minute of the match. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 40th minute, Sid Younger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sean Wilmott received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. James Holbrook tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 47 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Bourne End! Kristian Titmus placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sammy Partridge to make the kick off. Carl Broad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. James Holbrook tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. James Holbrook stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carl Broad's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. If Carl Broad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 63 minutes into the match, Carl Broad notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Bourne End's James Holbrook. James Holbrook was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Kikhavn FC's zone, Sid Younger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brian Goldthorpe came out of the goal and Sid Younger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. James Holbrook showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sean Wilmott in the 73rd minute of the match. Carl Broad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. James Holbrook tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. James Holbrook made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sean Wilmott in the 76th minute of play. The supporters of Kikhavn FC booed when Bourne End was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sammy Partridge didn't get a good kick on the ball. James Holbrook made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carl Broad in the 78th minute of play. In the 84th minute, Carl Broad made a precise shot to the right of James Holbrook. Bourne End's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. Sid Younger succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 5-2 in the 89th playminute. After 92 played minutes Bourne End got a freekick which was hit by Leigh Kempson. After a defensive mix-up in Bourne End's zone, Carl Broad stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. James Holbrook came out of the goal and Carl Broad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carl Broad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. James Holbrook tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sammy Partridge kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Bourne End players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Kikhavn FC.
