Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Neil Bishop made the kick off which started today's match. Congresbury's Huey Garforth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Neil Bishop in the 5th minute of play. A hard shot 7 in the game by Rio Rowell from a close distance when the talented Richie Matthews managed to make a qualified save. Rudston's players were relieved. 12 minutes into the game, Rio Rowell was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Congresbury's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rudston the free kick. Rio Rowell hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Rio Rowell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Richie Matthews made a huge save. A hard shot by Wesley Farrow from long distance, 17 minutes into the match, got Richie Matthews's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Rio Rowell struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Richie Matthews didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Congresbury. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Seth Routledge in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Richie Matthews prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Seth Routledge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rio Rowell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Richie Matthews tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Neil Bishop sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 37 minutes into the match, Rudston's goalkeeper Richie Matthews had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rio Rowell. Rudston's Richie Matthews played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Seth Routledge in the 39th minute of play. Simon Edworthy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 43rd minute, but Richie Matthews got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Rudston hanging dry this time. The audience was convinced that Seth Routledge's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Richie Matthews was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Seth Routledge stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Rudston's goal looked a bit too open when Seth Routledge came free, but Richie Matthews reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thom Longstaffe kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. After having played for 66 minutes, Seth Routledge managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Congresbury's supporters crossed their fingers, but Seth Routledge was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 68 minutes into the match, Seth Routledge notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Rudston's Richie Matthews. Richie Matthews was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Garry Willmott received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Huey Garforth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Seth Routledge recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Congresbury's Seth Routledge in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rudston's goalie prevented a goal. If Seth Routledge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stuart Maloney took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 86th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Richie Matthews. Rudston's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 91 minutes into the match, Rudston's goal looked a bit too open when Rio Rowell came free, but Richie Matthews reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brad Malpeli kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. When Seth Routledge came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Congresbury fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Seth Routledge couldn't finish the play. Rio Rowell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richie Matthews having to interfere.
