Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5626, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 149) Lee Jennings started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 3rd minute, Jeffrey Fielden ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Scott Todd was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Scott Todd took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rich Berryman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Lee Jennings had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hereford's Lee Jennings got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 14th minute, Jeffrey Fielden left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The YNWA United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Patrick Boyd got free with Kev Tonkin in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rich Berryman hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Lee Jennings sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeffrey Fielden in the 25th minute of play forced Hereford's goalkeeper Scott Todd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute, Clive Sutton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 29 minutes into the match, Hereford's goal looked a bit too open when Lewis Hart came free, but Scott Todd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 31 minutes into the game, Jeffrey Fielden cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Scott Todd was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 34 minutes into the match, Hereford's goal looked a bit too open when Jeffrey Fielden came free, but Scott Todd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Scott Todd came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by YNWA United's Lewis Hart. But to his dismay, Lewis Hart quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Lee Jennings struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Kev Tonkin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hereford. When Jermaine Bacon fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored YNWA United's protests and gave Jermaine Bacon a yellow card for diving instead. Carlton Kenworthy was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 42nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jeffrey Fielden was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute Rich Berryman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Scott Todd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Lewis Hart notched a goal, 0-7, to the right of Hereford's Scott Todd. Scott Todd was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Billie Gilchrist managed to get in a good position for a shot. YNWA United's supporters rose to their feet, but Billie Gilchrist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Scott Todd breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Scott Todd showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rich Berryman in the 72nd minute of the match. Hereford's Scott Todd proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Hereford from getting a goal against them. In the 74th minute, Clive Sutton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 76 minutes of play, YNWA United's Lewis Hart made it 0-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Scott Todd was left in no man's land by his defense there! Scott Todd showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rich Berryman in the 87th minute of the match. Scott Todd made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Jeffrey Fielden sent off a good shot on target. Scott Todd didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Billie Gilchrist went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-9 was the resulting score. After 93 played minutes Hereford got a freekick which was hit by Lewis Everard. Hereford's Scott Todd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rich Berryman in the 96th minute of play. When the match was over YNWA United could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Hereford throughout the match.
