Spectators: 7543 (Terracing: 5659, Seating: 1734, VIP seats: 150) In the 4th minute Rhys Froggatt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miles Leslie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Plumstead were awarded a corner in the 6th minute after Brighton & Hove Albion FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Stu McRobbie took the corner. Stu McRobbie made a great header on Plumstead's corner, it was just that Brighton & Hove Albion FC's Miles Leslie managed to reach the ball for a save. Mitch Young recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Basil Sutherland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Verne Cambridge in the 15th minute of the match. When Mitch Young fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Plumstead's protests and gave Mitch Young a yellow card for diving instead. Mitch Young hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. If Rhys Froggatt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Verne Cambridge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Basil Sutherland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Plumstead's goalkeeper Basil Sutherland, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Brighton & Hove Albion FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Joey Rawson hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Plumstead's Mitch Young got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 38th minute, Mitch Young fired away an extremely well hit free kick, but unfortunately the ball went just outside to the right hand side of Miles Leslie. A collision led to Brighton & Hove Albion FC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Joey Rawson hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute, Michael Blower hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mitch Young fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miles Leslie having to interfere. Verne Cambridge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rhys Froggatt was the one to do the kick off. An unexpected shot in the 51st minute by Verne Cambridge got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 52nd minute, Chesney Argent hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 56 minutes, Joel Granger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brighton & Hove Albion FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Granger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Verne Cambridge in the 58th minute of play forced Plumstead's goalkeeper Basil Sutherland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Plumstead's goalkeeper Basil Sutherland, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 79th minute, Mitch Young got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joel Granger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basil Sutherland having to interfere. 85 minutes into the game, Verne Cambridge lined in a short shot 0-2 behind a frustrated Basil Sutherland. Verne Cambridge's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Basil Sutherland read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. Plumstead's Basil Sutherland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Verne Cambridge in the 93rd minute of play. In the 96th minute, Verne Cambridge left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brighton & Hove Albion FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Brighton & Hove Albion FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
