Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Blair Niven started the match with the kick off. South Benfleet United's Dylan Cheswick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrick Grantham in the 8th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Blair Niven in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eddy Turner prevented the ball from getting in the gole. South Benfleet United's Dylan Cheswick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chesney Alsop in the 15th minute of play. Blair Niven could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Eddy Turner made a huge save. The supporters of South Benfleet United booed when Newark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ian Bannatyne didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sammy Bayliff recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dylan Cheswick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick Grantham, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Dylan Cheswick took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlton Booker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Newark's Dean Banks got a free kick in the 24th minute. After recieving a nice pass, South Benfleet United's Jonathan Harban tried to score from far away in the 25th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 27 minutes into the game, Carlton Booker cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Dylan Cheswick was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 32nd minute, Carlton Booker left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Newark fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. With a little luck, Newark's Eddy Turner got control of the ball when Bobby Fleetham tried to sneak it across the goal line. South Benfleet United's Dylan Cheswick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlton Booker in the 43rd minute of play. In the 46th minute Damion Nethercott shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eddy Turner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dylan Cheswick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlton Booker in the 48th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Patrick Grantham to strike the kick off in the second half. Damion Nethercott fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eddy Turner having to interfere. Franz Butters charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Franz Butters the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Newark's Eddy Turner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blair Niven in the 59th minute of play. A collision led to South Benfleet United getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Blair Niven hit a great ball. Dylan Cheswick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick Grantham, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. 65 minutes into the match, South Benfleet United's goalkeeper Dylan Cheswick had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlton Booker. Dylan Cheswick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick Grantham, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Newark's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cody Hyde in the 68th minute. After taking down the ball on Newark's corner Cody Hyde fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dylan Cheswick quite easily take care of the ball. 69 minutes into the game, Carlton Booker recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dylan Cheswick. Carlton Booker showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blair Niven in the 74th minute of play forced Newark's goalkeeper Eddy Turner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eddy Turner didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ed Power went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Chesney Alsop hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Eddy Turner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blair Niven in the 83rd minute of play. Patrick Grantham received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dylan Cheswick came out and tried to block the shot, but Patrick Grantham slotted it home off the left post making it 2-4 in the 85th minute. Dylan Cheswick made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Carlton Booker sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlton Booker got free with Dylan Cheswick in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Carlton Booker came free with the goalkeeper in the 93rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dylan Cheswick could save by the left post. The South Benfleet United supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Newark's performance. The match ended with a win for Newark.
