Seating: 1100, VIP seats: 4) The crowd rose to their feet as Dion Jones kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dylan Cheswick. That made the score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. After some careless play in the Coventry UTD defense, Blair Niven kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of CJ Carlick. The Coventry UTD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that CJ Carlick should have stopped the shot. CJ Carlick didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Blair Niven went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. 18 minutes into the match, Martyn Gough notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of South Benfleet United's Dylan Cheswick. Dylan Cheswick was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 21st match minute, Coventry UTD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thom Steed to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd minute, Blair Niven ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. CJ Carlick was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. In the 26th minute, Coventry UTD's Dylan Butterfield ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dylan Cheswick. Dylan Cheswick yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-3. If Damion Nethercott had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Blair Niven sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. CJ Carlick took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blair Niven, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th minute Blair Niven shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but CJ Carlick saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
Coventry UTD's CJ Carlick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blair Niven in the 52nd minute of play. 62 minutes into the game, Blair Niven lined in a short shot 3-4 behind a frustrated CJ Carlick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dion Jones in the 66th minute of play forced South Benfleet United's goalkeeper Dylan Cheswick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dylan Butterfield hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Blair Niven fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without CJ Carlick having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Ed Power got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With his leg CJ Carlick managed to avoid a goal in the 92ndth minute, when South Benfleet United's Blair Niven fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Despite being the better team, South Benfleet United failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
