Will Seal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kristopher Baird in the 10th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Caleb Jepson put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Gez Foggarty. In the 17th match minute, Werrington was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rio Ashford to maneuver through the defense. Nigel Law took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gez Foggarty. Werrington's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Werrington's Matthew Greaves got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Werrington's goalkeeper Gez Foggarty, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 24 minutes into the game, Syd Jewson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Werrington's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Waterloo City the free kick. After a rather tough play, Werrington's Syd Jewson got a free kick in the 24th minute. After having played for 31 minutes, Christopher Mahon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Waterloo City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christopher Mahon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Christopher Mahon struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Gez Foggarty didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Waterloo City. In the 37th minute, Matthew Greaves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Caleb Jepson, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 41 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Gez Foggarty was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 44th minute, Caleb Jepson made a precise shot to the right of Gez Foggarty. Werrington's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Christopher Mahon to strike the kick off in the second half. After 59 minutes, Matthew Greaves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Werrington and the Waterloo City players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Waterloo City booed when Werrington was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matthew Greaves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Caleb Jepson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gez Foggarty having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Steve Nightingale got free with Will Seal in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Caleb Jepson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gez Foggarty having to interfere. After 83 minutes of play Werrington's Syd Jewson was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 86 minutes into the match, Christopher Mahon notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Werrington's Gez Foggarty. Gez Foggarty was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Caleb Jepson might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gez Foggarty. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Caleb Jepson ran back to his position shaking his head. Will Seal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Steve Nightingale in the 93rd minute. When Christopher Mahon came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Waterloo City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christopher Mahon couldn't finish the play.
