The supporters of Tractor booed when Thorpe-le-Soken was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damon Fairfax didn't get a good kick on the ball. Russ Townson kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Andre Bird hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Tractor's Ted Crocker got a free kick in the 10th minute. Steve Morrell kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Silvester Burkinshaw kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Russ Townson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andre Bird kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Barrie Reynolds hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Silvester Burkinshaw hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After 41 played minutes Tractor got a freekick which was hit by Harvey Potter. 44 minutes into the match, Tractor's goalkeeper Ollie Krief had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Russ Townson. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ted Crocker stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52nd play minutes Russ Townson shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Ollie Krief and just under the crossbar into goal. After 55 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Tractor! The referee gave Thorpe-le-Soken a penalty, 57 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Russ Townson, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Tractor's Ollie Krief. 2-0. Zaq Riley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ted Crocker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee felt a red card was in order, 62 minutes into the game, when Beinn Elvins put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 62nd minute of the game. One of Tractor:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Thorpe-le-Soken:s goal. After a rather tough play, Thorpe-le-Soken's Russ Townson got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Harvey Potter blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zaq Riley having to make a save. The Thorpe-le-Soken fans' excitement grew in the 78th match minute when Thorpe-le-Soken's Russ Townson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Steve Morrell's late challenge caught a Thorpe-le-Soken's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Steve Morrell helped the player get up and apologised. Ollie Krief showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Russ Townson in the 89th minute of the match. Russ Townson struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Ollie Krief didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Thorpe-le-Soken. Tractor's Ollie Krief played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Russ Townson in the 95th minute of play. Thorpe-le-Soken walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
