Will Blakeley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Harvey Hewitt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Will Blakeley's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. FC Liverpool's Harvey Hewitt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rick Norman in the 8th minute of play. Philip Albright hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 20th minute Rick Norman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harvey Hewitt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Philip Tomkin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Philip Tomkin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Teddy Hawke read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. In the 26th minute, Will Blakeley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Harvey Hewitt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rick Norman, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. 29 minutes into the game, The Myrmidons's Rick Norman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Harvey Hewitt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Julian McCormick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Harvey Hewitt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teddy Hawke made an important save on a dangerous shot by Philip Albright in the 38th minute. Teddy Hawke stood somewhat misplaced when Philip Albright came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 42 minute. Teddy Hawke made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Philip Albright sent off a good shot on target.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Will Blakeley made a kick off. 54 minutes into the game, The Myrmidons's Rick Norman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Harvey Hewitt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Harvey Hewitt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Will Blakeley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee felt a red card was in order, 70 minutes into the game, when Ashley Sharples put in a rough tackle. Philip Albright fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teddy Hawke having to interfere. Julian McCormick's late challenge caught a FC Liverpool's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Julian McCormick helped the player get up and apologised. Philip Albright blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Teddy Hawke having to make a save. Julian McCormick kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. After 93 played minutes The Myrmidons got a freekick which was hit by Simon Davenport. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. The Myrmidons had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
