Denny Beswetherick kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Alastair Norfolk made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mike Wardill in the 31st minute. Alastair Norfolk made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Mike Wardill sent off a good shot on target. Through an outstanding action, after 42 minutes, Alastair Norfolk successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 43rd minute Brett Ferdinand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sly Schofield saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sly Schofield took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Huey Meadowcroft, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Bishops Castle were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The supporters of Northallerton booed when Bishops Castle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sean Nash didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alastair Norfolk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mike Wardill in the 90th minute of the match. Bishops Castle's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
