Spectators: 7496 (Terracing: 5623, Seating: 1724, VIP seats: 149) Ged Nelson started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After some careless play in the Brabusss defense, Phil Langford kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Johnathan Shaw. The Brabusss fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Johnathan Shaw should have stopped the shot. With his leg Rick Elam managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when Brabusss's Geoff Impey fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Johnathan Shaw made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Piers Burns in the 9th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Brabusss's goal looked a bit too open when Piers Burns came free, but Johnathan Shaw reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Johnathan Shaw made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Phil Langford in the 15th minute of play. In the 17th minute of the match Blair Bedford sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Johnathan Shaw skillfully saved the ball. Lond-Catford's Rick Elam proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Lond-Catford from getting a goal against them. Rick Elam made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stephen Mimms in the 21st minute. Johnathan Shaw took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Piers Burns, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute Phil Langford shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnathan Shaw saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th minute Ged Nelson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnathan Shaw saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Brabusss's goal looked a bit too open when Phil Langford came free, but Johnathan Shaw reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brabusss's Barrie Plummer got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Geoff Impey might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rick Elam. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Geoff Impey ran back to his position shaking his head. Brabusss's Martyn Bullard got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Phil Langford kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. If Geoff Impey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Blair Bedford hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Rick Elam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martyn Bullard in the 44th minute of play. In the 45th minute, Geoff Impey left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brabusss fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Stephen Mimms to strike the kick off in the second half. Martyn Bullard might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rick Elam. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Martyn Bullard ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martyn Bullard in the 52nd minute of play forced Lond-Catford's goalkeeper Rick Elam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute Martyn Bullard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rick Elam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rick Elam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stephen Mimms, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geoff Impey in the 61st minute of play forced Lond-Catford's goalkeeper Rick Elam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Jack Rowling came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Lond-Catford fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jack Rowling couldn't finish the play. In the 67th minute Stephen Mimms shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rick Elam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Geoff Impey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 70 minutes, Martyn Bullard mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brabusss and the Lond-Catford players grew even worse after the yellow card. Martyn Bullard kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Rick Elam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geoff Quinn in the 74th minute of the match. Jack Rowling scored 1-2 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Johnathan Shaw, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Johnathan Shaw made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Jack Rowling sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ged Nelson in the 82nd minute of play forced Brabusss's goalkeeper Johnathan Shaw to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stephen Mimms struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Rick Elam didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brabusss.
