Lovedean's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bishops Castle the free kick. In the 9th minute, Reggie Grantham hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brett Ferdinand struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Vernon Hall didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bishops Castle. Lovedean's Vernon Hall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Huey Meadowcroft in the 11th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Lovedean's goal looked a bit too open when Brett Ferdinand came free, but Vernon Hall reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brett Ferdinand fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vernon Hall having to interfere. Bishops Castle's Brett Ferdinand got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Brett Ferdinand managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bishops Castle's supporters rose to their feet, but Brett Ferdinand was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vernon Hall breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wes Cheswick kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Bishops Castle's Loyd Smart couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 26th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Lovedean. 26 minutes into the game, Lloyd Lennon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In the 32ndth minute of the game Sam Warner who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bishops Castle's Alastair Norfolk was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Lovedean's Reggie Grantham got a free kick in the 34th minute. Vernon Hall showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Huey Meadowcroft in the 41st minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bart Lawson during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 43rd minute, Bart Lawson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Brett Ferdinand had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. After 76 minutes, Sam Warner made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Bishops Castle's Alastair Norfolk tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With his leg Vernon Hall managed to avoid a goal in the 96thth minute, when Bishops Castle's Brett Ferdinand fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 100 minutes into the match, Lovedean's goalkeeper Vernon Hall had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Brett Ferdinand.
