Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Huey Meadowcroft made the kick off and thus started the match. The supporters of Bishops Castle booed when Newbiggin FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ralf Hopton didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 8 minutes, Loyd Smart managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bishops Castle's supporters crossed their fingers, but Loyd Smart was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Justin Hilton made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Brett Ferdinand sent off a good shot on target. In the 13th minute, Huey Meadowcroft ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Justin Hilton was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 18th match minute, Bishops Castle was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Prutton to maneuver through the defense. Justin Hilton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sean Nash, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brett Ferdinand came free with the goalkeeper in the 25th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Justin Hilton could save by the left post. After 26 played minutes Bishops Castle got a freekick which was hit by Felix Prutton. In the 32nd play minute Brett Ferdinand came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Justin Hilton. 2-0. In the 37th minute, Bill Portway hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st minute, Brett Ferdinand left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bishops Castle fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. When Huey Meadowcroft came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Bishops Castle fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Huey Meadowcroft couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sebastien Rush to strike the kick off in the second half. Daryl Nash kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Toby Kerfoot hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. If Sebastien Rush had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute, Sean Nash hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 65 minutes into the match, Newbiggin FC's goal looked a bit too open when Brett Ferdinand came free, but Justin Hilton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Newbiggin FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Tom Stockdale hit a great ball. Brett Ferdinand recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Justin Hilton stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daryl Nash's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Justin Hilton didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Huey Meadowcroft went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Newbiggin FC's Justin Hilton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Huey Meadowcroft in the 79th minute of play. Bishops Castle's Huey Meadowcroft got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 83 minutes into the match, Newbiggin FC's goal looked a bit too open when Brett Ferdinand came free, but Justin Hilton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th minute Huey Meadowcroft shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justin Hilton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Justin Hilton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Huey Meadowcroft in the 87th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Huey Meadowcroft got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Huey Meadowcroft fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justin Hilton having to interfere. In the 94th minute Brett Ferdinand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justin Hilton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Brett Ferdinand managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bishops Castle's supporters rose to their feet, but Brett Ferdinand was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Justin Hilton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 97th minute, Felix Prutton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bishops Castle's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
