Geoff Impey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rick Elam having to interfere. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geoff Impey couldn't finish the play. After 18 minutes of play, Brabusss's Geoff Impey made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rick Elam was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 21st minute, Geoff Impey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 23rd minute, Stephen Mimms ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rick Elam was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Johnathan Shaw made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Jack Rowling sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice moves Phil Langford could shoot a difficult shot in the 29th minute, which Johnathan Shaw however easily saved by the left post. Brabusss's defense didn't have a chance, in the 31st minute, when Ged Nelson scored to the left of an out of position Johnathan Shaw, making the score, 1-3. 2-3 became the score in the 35th minute when Ged Nelson elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 38th minute, Phil Langford made a precise shot to the right of Johnathan Shaw. Brabusss's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. After 44 minutes of play, Lond-Catford's Phil Langford made it 4-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Johnathan Shaw was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Brabusss's Martyn Bullard got a free kick in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Phil Langford in the 55th minute of play forced Brabusss's goalkeeper Johnathan Shaw to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Lond-Catford's goal looked a bit too open when Geoff Quinn came free, but Rick Elam reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Martyn Bullard fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brabusss's protests and gave Martyn Bullard a yellow card for diving instead. 66 minutes into the game, Phil Langford was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lond-Catford's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brabusss the free kick. In the 67th minute, Phil Langford hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 69 played minutes Lond-Catford got a freekick which was hit by Ged Nelson. The crowd rose to their feet as Geoff Impey kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rick Elam. That made the score 5-4 in the 71 minute of play. When Ged Nelson came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Lond-Catford fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ged Nelson couldn't finish the play.
